Dear students,

If you are preparing to travel or attend large gatherings for Thanksgiving, remember a few basic tips to stay healthy and well:

  • If you feel extra stress or anxiety this time of year, know you are not alone. Remember your resources.
  • It is not too late to get your updated influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations. Stop by a clinic on campus or make an appointment at the health service. The state of Michigan recommends that anyone who has not received the updated COVID-19 vaccine may consider themselves at higher risk for severe disease and is eligible for the vaccine.
  • Carry a mask with you in case those around you have respiratory symptoms, especially in crowded indoor spaces like airports and airplanes. Keep yourself protected so you can finish the semester strong.
  • As the days get shorter and colder, still find time to go outside, even just for a few minutes. You may be surprised how much a quick fifteen-minute excursion outdoors can clear your mind and help you recharge.

Stay healthy, Wolverines,
