Dear students,

I hope you all have time for some rest and relaxation this winter break in whatever ways you most enjoy. Here are some tips for maximizing your time off, which can make a big difference in your New Year:

  • Whether you gain energy from time alone or time with friends and family–or a mix of both–intentionally plan your break to help you recharge. It is okay to say no to an invitation, and it is okay to extend one.
  • As I said in my November newsletter, know that you have resources if you encounter moments of mental stress or difficulty, including teletherapy sessions.
  • I have said this before, but it is worth repeating: snow, rain, or shine, go outside. In the winter, fresh air is especially important–just bundle up. Check out the video below for more winter wellness myths.

I look forward to seeing many of you in 2025. For those who are graduating, congratulations and, of course, Go Blue!
